Pour accueillir le printemps, nous sommes allés passer un week-end au bord du lac d’Annecy en Haute-Savoie dans la maison des parents de Béatrice.

Entre marche, prière, pique-nique, nous avons pu échanger nos nouvelles, rencontrer un prêtre « oblat de Saint-François de Sales » qui a travaillé longtemps au Bénin et qui y retourne régulièrement car leur province recouvre la France et le Bénin.
Du Ghana, Antoine va quitter l’hôpital de Buduburam fin juin, son contrat se termine, nous espérons qu’il aura assez de temps avec les travaux de rénovations qu’il a entrepris pour former le nouvel administrateur ghanéen qui doit le remplacer à son départ.
Au Bénin, Gray nous écrit qu’il va bien et pour nous faire partager sa tristesse, Mary, une amie traductrice qui travaillait au Togo a été tué à Jérusalem le 23 mars dans un attentat. Il se rendait au Togo pour une veillée en mémoire de Mary. Dimanche 10 avril il était à la plage de Ouidah pour une grande Messe pour fêter le 150° anniversaire de l’arrivée des premières missionnaires. Le Lundi 11 il y avait une célébration SMA à Calavi. Les missionnaires sont arrivés le 18 avril 1861, les fêtes ont été avancées d’une semaine à cause des élections législatives au Bénin prévues le 17.
Notre prochaine rencontre aura lieu au mois de juin, ce sera pour les engagements, Gray sera avec nous, il y aura 5 membres de notre groupe qui vont faire ce réengagement. Ce sera aussi l’occasion de présenter notre nouveau « berger ». Nous avons procédé au vote, Hélène Liet termine son mandat en juin et c’est Jean Arnoux qui sera le nouveau coordinateur de la Fraternité. Nous confions à vos prières Jean qui a accepté ce service.
