Le dimanche de Pâques, notre ami David a fait son premier engagement.

David est anglais, de la Cornouaille, il a connu la FLM grâce à Gray, travaillant comme lui à la SIL . Gray au Bénin et David  au Togo.

David a une formation de musicien, il est très bon pianiste. La traduction de la Bible est devenue pour lui une évidence. Quand on se fait très mal, quand on s’émerveille, quand on prie, on crie, on parle dans sa langue maternelle. Dieu doit pouvoir  répondre dans notre langue maternelle pour que son message ne soit pas imposé de l’extérieur par des étrangers.

David vient de travailler deux ans à Paris au CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique) . Sa spécialité est comment retranscrire les tons dans les langues à tons.

Maintenant que son contrat est terminé, il veut retourner au Togo. Il n’a pas envie de s’y retrouver seul, mais accompagné par une communauté.

Il a profité de son séjour en France pour faire connaissance de la FLM, après un temps de discernement et de connaissance, il a demandé à faire son engagement.

Nous avons eu un bon dimanche de pâques, joie dans le sourire de David, partage avec les amis des la FM, les pères SMA présents. Et après un hiver gris, le soleil est apparu. Le Christ est ressuscité, grâce à David, Gray, les pères missionnaires et tant d’autres, toutes les langues peuvent et pourront le proclamer.

Now his contract is finished, he wants to return to Togo. He did not want to be left alone, but accompanied by a community.

He took advantage of his stay in Franceto get to know FLM, after a period of discernment and knowledge; he sought to make his commitment.
We had a good Easter Sunday, joy with the smile of David, sharing with friends of FLM, the SMA fathers present. And after a gray winter, the sun came out. Christ is risen, thanks to David, Gray, the missionary fathers and many others, all languages ​​can and will proclaim.
