The first 3 days of the Plenary Council have included presentations on a variety of topics. Yesterday, Dympna, the lay representative from Ireland, gave a presentation about the laity, clearly delineating the current reality, including all we share with the SMA Fathers as well as differences and challenges. Information for the presentation was gathered at the lay meeting held in Italy at the end of 2016 and has been built upon since that time in correspondence with the central team for communication that was established during the 2016 lay meeting. Mara, the lay representative from Holland, also gave her insights based upon her experiences as a lay missionary. In the enlarged Council, as well as around the tables during meals, discussions about the lay program have been taking place. The lay program and other topics will be further discussed in the small groups beginning tomorrow.

Les trois premiers jours du Conseil plénier ont été consacré à la présentation des différents sujets. Hier, Dympna,la représentante laïque d'Irlande, a fait une présentation des laïcs, définissant clairement la réalité actuelle, avec tout ce que nous partageons avec les Pères SMA ainsi que les différences et les défis. Ces informations ont été recueillies pendant la réunion des laïcs tenue en Italie à la fin de 2016. Le travail a été poursuivi depuis cette date en correspondance avec l'équipe centrale de communication établie lors cette rencontre de 2016. Mara, la représentante laïque de Hollande, a également donné son point de vue sur son expérience en tant que missionnaire laïque. Dans le conseil élargi, ainsi qu’autour des tables pendant les repas, des discussions ont eu lieu sur le programme laïc. Le programme laïc et d'autres sujets seront discutés plus en détail dans les petits groupes à partir de demain.
