MEETING

Dear friends,

We would like to bring to your attention that there are some changes concerning the International Meeting of SMA Laity for the summer of 2018:

During our meeting in Feriole our Polish Lay coordinators gracefully invited us to meet in Poland for the next meeting. But as it turned out the house, due to the ongoing works of completion and installation, will not be ready to receive guests  during July or August 2018. Postponing the meeting to the Christmas Holiday is not an option since this brings our meeting too close to the General Assembly that is held in May 2019. The purpose of our meeting is to continue working on those recommendations achieved in Feriole and to accumulate them in  a document to be addressed in the SMA GA of 2019. To make it in time to be on the GA agenda we need to send in our documentation in the autumn of 2018. Bearing in mind the paperwork and necessary translation, we have decided to find a new date for our meeting.

We are welcome to meet at the SMA House in Piwniczna-Zdroj, in the south of Poland, over the following dates:

Arrival date :                     Wednesday 5^th of September, 2018

Start of meetings:           Thursday 6^th of September, 2018

Closure and departure : Sunday 9^th of September , 2018

Each SMA Laity group can be represented by 2 persons. The meeting will have an agenda. The proposed agenda will be sent to you this month and can be discussed so that we can come to a final version. The main focus of the agenda will be concentrated around the role and future of the Laity in the SMA Charismatic Family.

Since this is a shorter meeting, we propose that in the near future we consider having a larger meeting with a more social character and that will have a programme more focused on meeting, sharing and celebrating.

We would like to hear from all of you on how you feel about these changes and who will come to represent you. We would like to have this information before the end of February 2018.

Nous voudrions attirer votre attention sur le fait qu'il y a quelques changements concernant la Réunion Internationale des Laïcs SMA pour l'été 2018:

Lors de notre rencontre à Feriole, nos coordinateurs laïques Polonais nous ont gracieusement invités à nous rencontrer en Pologne pour la prochaine réunion. Mais il s'est avéré que la maison, en raison des travaux en cours d'achèvement et d'installation ne serait pas prête à recevoir des invités en Juillet ou Août 2018. Le report de la réunion aux congés de Noël n'est plus une option car cela amène notre réunion trop proche de l’Assemblée Générale qui aura lieu en mai 2019. Le but de notre réunion est de continuer à travailler sur les recommandations obtenues à Feriole et de les rassembler dans un document qui sera présenté à l'AG de 2019. Pour le faire à temps afin qu’il soit à l’ordre du jour de l'AG, nous devons envoyer notre document à l'automne 2018. Gardant à l'esprit le travail administratif et les traductions nécessaires, nous avons décidé de trouver une nouvelle date pour notre réunion.

Nous serons les bienvenus à la Maison SMA de Piwniczna-Zdroj, dans le sud de la Pologne, aux dates suivantes:

Début des réunions:         jeudi 6 septembre 2018

Fermeture et départ:       dimanche 9 septembre 2018

Chaque groupe laïc SMA peut se faire représenter par 2 personnes. La réunion aura un ordre du jour. L'ordre du jour proposé vous sera envoyé ce mois-ci et peut être discuté pour arriver à une version finale. L'objectif principal de l'agenda sera concentré autour du rôle et de l'avenir des laïcs dans la famille charismatique SMA.

Comme il s'agit d'une réunion plus courte, nous proposons que dans un proche avenir, nous puissions envisager une réunion plus large avec un caractère plus social avec un programme plus axé sur la réunion, le partage et la célébration.

Nous aimerions avoir votre avis sur ce que vous pensez de ces changements qu’on vient de vous présenter. Nous aimerions avoir cette information avant la fin du mois de février 2018.
