«Sous ta protection nous nous réfugions, Sainte Mère de Dieu. 

Dans la présente situation dramatique, chargée de souffrances et d’angoisses qui frappent le monde entier, nous recourons à Toi, Mère de Dieu et notre Mère, et nous cherchons refuge sous ta protection.

Ô Vierge Marie, tourne vers nous tes yeux miséricordieux dans cette pandémie du coronavirus, et réconforte ceux qui sont perdus et qui pleurent leurs proches qui sont morts, enterrés parfois d’une manière qui blesse l’âme. Soutiens ceux qui sont angoissés pour les personnes malades auprès desquelles, pour empêcher la contagion, ils ne peuvent être proches. Suscite la confiance en celui qui est inquiet pour l’avenir incertain et pour les conséquences sur l’économie et sur le travail.

Mère de Dieu et notre Mère, implore pour nous de Dieu, Père de miséricorde, que cette dure épreuve finisse et que revienne un horizon d’espérance et de paix. Comme à Cana, interviens auprès de ton Divin Fils, en lui demandant de réconforter les familles des malades et des victimes, et d’ouvrir leur cœur à la confiance.

Protège les médecins, les infirmiers et les infirmières, le personnel sanitaire, les volontaires qui, en cette période d’urgence, sont en première ligne et risquent leur vie pour sauver d’autres vies. Accompagne leur fatigue héroïque et donne-leur force, bonté et santé.

Sois aux côtés de ceux qui, nuit et jour, assistent les malades ainsi que des prêtres qui, avec sollicitude pastorale et engagement évangélique, cherchent à aider et à soutenir chacun.

Vierge Sainte, éclaire l’esprit des hommes et des femmes de science, pour qu’ils trouvent de justes solutions pour vaincre ce virus.

Assiste les Responsables des Nations, pour qu’ils œuvrent avec sagesse, sollicitude et générosité, en secourant ceux qui manquent du nécessaire pour vivre, en programmant des solutions sociales et économiques avec clairvoyance et avec esprit de solidarité.

Marie très Sainte, touche les consciences pour que les sommes considérables utilisées pour accroître et perfectionner les armements soient au contraire destinées à promouvoir des études adéquates pour prévenir de semblables catastrophes dans l’avenir.

Mère très aimée, fais grandir dans le monde le sens d’appartenance à une seule grande famille, dans la conscience du lien qui nous unit tous, pour que nous venions en aide aux nombreuses pauvretés et situations de misère avec un esprit fraternel et solidaire. Encourage la fermeté dans la foi, la persévérance dans le service, la constance dans la prière.

O Marie, Consolatrice des affligés, embrasse tous tes enfants dans la tribulation et obtiens que Dieu intervienne de sa main toute puissante pour nous libérer de cette terrible épidémie, afin que la vie puisse reprendre dans la sérénité son cours normal.

Nous nous confions à Toi, toi qui resplendis sur notre chemin comme signe de salut et d’espérance, ô clémente, ô miséricordieuse, ô douce Vierge Marie. Amen.

Guide les pas de tes pèlerins qui désirent te prier et t’aimer dans les sanctuaires qui te sont dédiés dans le monde entier sous les titres les plus divers qui rappellent ton intercession, sois pour chacun un guide sûr. Amen».

 Santa Madre di Dio. Nella presente situazione drammatica, carica di sofferenze e di angosce che avvolgono il mondo intero, ricorriamo a Te, Madre di Dio e Madre nostra, e cerchiamo rifugio sotto la tua protezione. O Vergine Maria, volgi a noi i tuoi occhi misericordiosi in questa pandemia del coronavirus, e conforta quanti sono smarriti e piangenti per i loro cari morti, sepolti a volte in un modo che ferisce l’anima. Sostieni quanti sono angosciati per le persone ammalate alle quali, per impedire il contagio, non possono stare vicini. Infondi fiducia in chi è in ansia per il futuro incerto e per le conseguenze sull’economia e sul lavoro. Madre di Dio e Madre nostra, implora per noi da Dio, Padre di misericordia, che questa dura prova finisca e che ritorni un orizzonte di speranza e di pace. Come a Cana, intervieni presso il tuo Figlio Gesù, chiedendogli di confortare le famiglie dei malati e delle vittime e di aprire il loro cuore alla fiducia. Proteggi i medici, gli infermieri, il personale sanitario, i volontari che in questo periodo di emergenza sono in prima linea e mettono la loro vita a rischio per salvare altre vite. Accompagna la loro fatica e dona loro forza, bontà e salute. Sii accanto a coloro che notte e giorno assistono i malati, ai sacerdoti e alle persone consacrate che, con sollecitudine pastorale e impegno evangelico, cercano di aiutare e sostenere tutti. Vergine Santa, illumina le menti degli uomini e delle donne di scienza, perché trovino giuste soluzioni per vincere la malattia. Assisti i Responsabili delle Nazioni, perché operino con saggezza, sollecitudine e generosità, soccorrendo quanti mancano del necessario per vivere, programmando soluzioni sociali ed economiche con lungimiranza e con spirito di solidarietà. Maria Santissima, tocca le coscienze perché le ingenti somme usate per accrescere e perfezionare gli armamenti siano invece destinate a promuovere adeguati studi per prevenire simili catastrofi in futuro8 Madre amatissima, fà crescere nel mondo il senso di appartenenza ad un'unica grande famiglia, nella consapevolezza del legame che tutti unisce, perché con spirito fraterno e solidale veniamo in aiuto alle tante povertà e situazioni di miseria. Incoraggia la fermezza nella fede, la perseveranza nel servire, la costanza nel pregare. O Maria, Consolatrice degli afflitti, abbraccia tutti i tuoi figli tribolati e ottieni che il Padre Misericordioso intervenga con la sua mano onnipotente per liberarci da questa terribile pandemia, in modo che la vita possa riprendere in serenità il suo corso quotidiano. Ci affidiamo a Te, che risplendi sul nostro cammino come segno di salvezza e di speranza, o clemente, o pia, o dolce Vergine Maria. Amen

We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God.7 In the present tragic situation, when the whole world is prey to suffering and anxiety, we fly to you, Mother of God and our Mother, and seek refuge under your protection. Virgin Mary, turn your merciful eyes towards us amid this coronavirus pandemic. Comfort those who are distraught and mourn their loved ones who have died, and at times are buried in a way that grieves them deeply. Be close to those who are concerned for their loved ones who are sick and who, in order to prevent the spread of the disease, cannot be close to them. Fill with hope those who are troubled by the uncertainty of the future and the consequences for the economy and employment. Mother of God and our Mother, pray for us to God, the Father of mercies, that this great suffering may end and that hope and peace may dawn anew. Plead with your divine Son, as you did at Cana, so that the families of the sick and the victims be comforted, and their hearts be opened to confidence and trust. Protect those doctors, nurses, health workers and volunteers who are on the frontline of this emergency, and are risking their lives to save others. Support their heroic effort and grant them strength, generosity, and continued health. Mary, Consolation of the afflicted, embrace all your children in distress and pray that God will stretch out his all-powerful hand and free us from this terrible pandemic, so that life can serenely resume its normal course.
